Itinerary
Arrive at Srinagar airport and transfered to Hotel check into the hotel. Overnight at Srinagar hotel.
After breakfast, proceed for Sonamarg which is situated at a distance of 85 kms from Srinagar on the Srinagar-Ladakh Road. The road passes through the picturesque town of Ganderbal (21 kms) & Kangan (40 kms) before reaching Sonamarg. Situated at an altitude of 2730 m, Sonamarg, which means ' meadow of gold ' has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh River that flows through the valley abounds with trout. You may enjoy Pony ride while going to Thajiwas Glacier. Back to Srinagar in the evening.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to houseboat. Visit the famous Shankryacharya Temple, Mughal Gardens viz; Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Chashma Shahi etc. and other famous tourist places like Pari Mahal, Botanical Garden, Nehru Park etc. Enjoy Shikara ride in Dal Lake. Have evening walk through Boulevard Road on the banks of Dal Lake. Overnight stay at Srinagar.
Get transferred to Srinagar airport to board your flight for respective hub.
Due to the extremely strict security measures at the airport during peak season, guests are requested to leave for the airport at least 2 hours prior to departure. We are forced to enforce this rule as there are 4 security barriers to pass before reaching the airport. Also, there are regular traffic jams for a couple of kilometers outside the airport.
