You will start your Kashmir trip when you arrive at the Srinagar International Airport. Our driver will be ready to pick you up with your name placard. He will assist you with loading the baggage into the car. Now, after leaving the airport, you can either check in at your hotel or go for local sightseeing. Local sightseeing will include Mughal gardens like Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden, Botanical Garden, Chasm-e-Shahe, and Pari Mahal. After this, you can also do the famous Shikara ride in the Dal lake. In Dal Lake, you can buy saffron, fruit chat, and Kashmiri Kehwa or Nun Chai (salt-tea). At the end of the day, our driver will drop you off at your hotel for the night.
We will drive from Srinagar to Gulmarg on the second day of your Kashmir tour itinerary. It’s 52 km from Srinagar and will take us about 2 hours to get there. Gulmarg is famous for its thrilling activities and natural beauty. After reaching Gulmarg, we can do the local sightseeing. If your Kashmir tour package includes a Gondola ride, then we will go for that first. Gulmarg’s Gondola is a two-stage cable car and is the second longest and highest cable car in the world. There are plenty of snow related activities available to you if you visit during the winter, including skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing. In the summer, you can do ATV rides and pony rides. On this day we are going to have stay at Gulmarg.
n the 3rd day of your Kashmir tour itinerary. You are going to explore Gulmarg further you can visit St. Mary’s Church, which is a beautiful church made in 1902. Moreover you can also visit to the Gulmarg Golf course and play golf with your family and explore the golf course by foot. Additionally you can also go to Mahrani Temple which was made in 1915. This temple was considered as the stately possession of the Dogra kings. The temple is dedicated to Shiva and Parvati. At the end of the day you are going to stay at Gulmarg
We will drive from Gulmarg to Sonmarg on the Fourth day of your Kashmir tour itinerary. It’s 130 km from Gulmarg and will take us about 2.5 hours to get there. We are going to leave Gulmarg after you have you breakfast and of you want to take anything home from Gulmarg you can do shopping for that. In our journey to Sonmarg, You can have lunch at Wayil Bridge; you can also peacefully spend some time in the Wayil Bridge park. After that, we will reach Sonmarg in the evening, where you will check in at your hotel, and then you can do bonfire.
On the Fifth day, you are going to wake up at the Sonmarg Hotel, and then we are going to go for a trek to Thajiwas Galcier, either by pony ride, which is around 3 km away from the Sonmarg meadows. At Thajiwas, you can find snow all the time throughout the year. You can do snow activities like sledging and snowfights. You can also slide down the hill, which is an exciting thing to do. Take a picture and come down and enjoy your stay at Sonmarg.
On the fifth day of your Kashmir tour itinerary, you will wake up at your Sonmarg hotel, have your breakfast, and then we will start our road trip from Sonmarg to Pahalgam. This will be a long journey for around 140 km. This will take us around 2.5 hours to reach. On the way to Pahalgam you can stop at saffron fields of Pampore, you can also buy saffron and dry fruit from Pampore. Then you can also visit Awantipora where you will find an ancient temple called Avanti Swami Temple. After that you are going to reach Pahalgam at the evening where you can do Pony ride in the main market and then enjoy your stay at Pahalgam.
There are so many things to do around Pahalgam that the whole day can be spent admiring the beauty of the region. For the adventure enthusiasts, you can undertake horse riding, go for trekking or river rafting in the Lidder River. For others who are not too keen on adventure there is always a peaceful day in the Baisaran Valley popularly known as ‘Mini Switzerland.’ You can go to these places buy pony or by doing a trek. It’s a very calming place and for the end of the day you can return to your hotel and sit around a warm bonfire enjoying the cool mountain weather.
The famous Beetab Valley, named after the Bollywood film “Betaab,” can be visited to wrap up your Pahalgam trip on the eighth day of your Kashmir tour itinerary. This valley is well-known for its meadows and pine forests. Many tourists enjoy acting out movie scenes and creating videos for their social media pages. After that, you can go to Aru Valley and have a picnic beside the stunning Lidder River. Additionally, you are allowed to bring food and eat it there on the riverbanks. When the day is almost over, the driver will drop you off in Srinagar so you two can spend the night sleeping.then upon arriving back in Srinagar from Pahalgam. At the end of the day, we will go back to Srinagar. In Srinagar, you are going to stay on a houseboat at Nigeen Lake, where you will spend the night.
We will drive from Srinagar to Doodhpathri on the nineth day of your Kashmir tour itinerary. In fact Doodhpathri is around 47KM away from Srinagar and takes 1.5 hours to reach. Moreover Doodhpathri is a hill station in Kashmir that is popular with tourists due to the presence of the Greater Himalayan Mountain Range in India. Doodhpathri, also known as the “Valley of Milk,” is a popular tourist destination in Jammu and Kashmir. You will enjoy the day there and come back to Srinagar Hotel at night.
